Richard Harteis is the author of 14 books including
poetry, fiction, and journalism. His latest work, REUNION is a spiritual
travelogue from the hills of Western Pennsylvania, to Switzerland to
the Rila Monastery in Bulgaria. He has received numerous awards
including an NEA and Fulbright fellowship and several such fellowships
from Creighton University and The Catholic University in Washington,
D.C. He has worked as a Radio producer, film maker and arts
administrator. In 1996 he was accorded Bulgarian citizenship for his
work in the culture. He currently directs the William Meredith
Foundation and Poets’ Choice Publishing. He lives in Uncasville and
Groton Connecticut.
