Darka Herbez

Darka Herbez is a Serbian poet and a university teacher of Serbian language at the Department of Slavic Studies at Plovdiv University „Paisii Hilendarski“. She has been writing poetry since her early childhood. She published her poetry book - Daughter of Apolon (Apolonova kći) in 2008 in the authoritative Serbian Publishing House "Brankovo ​​Kolo". She is the winner of numerous poetry awards from international festivals, including the Poetry Festival of Young Authors (Vrbas), Melnik Evenings of Poetry (Melnik), Footprints in the Sand (Bechei), etc. She published in the anthology Outside the box (Van kutije) and in several literary magazines and collections: Tenderness of a woman, Days of dreams (Dani od snova), Universe (Vaseljena), Slavic dialogues, etc. Since 2024, he has been a member of the international jury of the international poetry festival "Melnik Evenings of Poetry", which takes place in the city of Melnik. Lives and works in Plovdiv.
