WITH GHOSTS THE LIVING WILL CONVERSE

Translated by: Вадим Банев

I'll give my answer with stern zest.

To each give only what they've

earned: unto caesars theirs, to God the

rest, regardless of the years they've

served. My Maker, I shall speak but

true, since others are about it trepid:

began (Alas!) yet so askew this cycle

of the human epic.

In creatures to invest more value not of

mud, but water antiseptic, speak as well

the sayings hallowed, for folk still

sceptical of sceptics. And finally, like

Shakespeare's verse though dead, the

heroes are determined, with ghosts the

living will converse in lives so lofty as in

throne-rooms.
