Niculina Oprea made her debut in 1974 with poetry in the supplement
of the daily newspaper “Forward” edited in Craiova, and afterwards – in
the “Branches” magazine – under the pseudonym of Ioanina Prelcu.
Her poems have been translated in more than ten languages, such as
French, English, German, Spanish (both Catalan and Castilian), Turkish,
Polish, Arab, Serbian, Albanian, Chinese, Japanese and Telugu, etc.
